Less Able Evacuations
It is a general requirement that emergency procedures for evacuation of buildings and grounds are pre-planned and that planning should have regard to the needs of all occupants. It is therefore essential to identify the needs of disabled staff, students and visitors and to make proper arrangements for their assistance in the event of an emergency evacuation for an event such as fire, toxic substances or terrorist activity.
The Training Course includes:
- The principles of emergency evacuation for disabled people
- The legal requirements
- How to develop a PEEPs process
- How to identify who needs a PEEP
- How to develop a PEEP, including different approaches
- How to manage the PEEPs process
- How often a PEEP should be reviewed
