Asbestos training

Asbestos training

Asbestos was used for many years in buildings because of its flame resistance and insulating properties. But the inhalation of some kinds of asbestos fibres can cause serious illnesses including cancer which led to its ban in many countries. The problem arises when the minute fibres become airborne and are inhaled but the lungs cannot expel them.

The Control of Asbestos Regulations require mandatory training for anyone liable to be exposed to asbestos fibres at work. This includes maintenance workers and others who may come into contact with or who may disturb asbestos (e.g. cable installers) as well as those involved in asbestos removal work.

This course is designed to satisfy the the new Regulations requirements of the HSE. Courses are held at your own venue or externally for up to 15 delegates. This course is tailored to suit your area of work.
